Rising from the Sea and holding a Sargasso vine, the Siren stands on a rock and calls to ships. Inspired and sculpted while in Bermuda as Artist in Residence of the Masterworks Foundation, the “Siren with Sargasso” is one of a series of sculptures featuring temptress sirens luring ships to their wreckage.
ermuda was founded by a ship wreck that inspired Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” and is the site of many such disasters. This sculpture series pays tribute to Bermuda’s historic past.
