“Babe’s Dream”, The George Herman “Babe” Ruth Monument is a sixteen feet tall bronze sculpture standing in front of Oriole Park at Camden Yards Stadium, the Major League Baseball Stadium.

Ruth is depicted as an eighteen year old rookie player for the International League Baltimore Team, circa 1918.  He was born in Baltimore and started his career there.  Susan portrayed him as looking north to his celebrated future. Susan’s portrayal of Ruth was founded on numerous items including family photos, his personal pitcher’s glove and the accurate uniform of the time and team. She worked closely with The “Babe” Ruth Museum and historians to accomplish the sculpture.
